Hi, you are invited to apply to the PhD program in the Department of Applied Linguistics at Penn State University if you 1) are interested in building, annotating, and analyzing (learner or native) corpora for language learning and teaching research or applied linguistics research in general, 2) have some background in computational or corpus linguistics, and 3) have a master's degree from a good university. Admission is highly competitive. Admitted students are offered 4-year funding packages. Application deadline is Feb 1, 2008. See the sites below for more information.
