Yes. Here are some warnings for those who are thinking of encoding conversion:

You can convert your GB2312 encoded texts into Big-5 to be tagged with CKIP tagger, you the conversion can distort your data, especially if you want to convert the tagged data back into GB2312. For example, 着 in GB2312 becomes 著 in Big-5 in Gb to Big-5 conversion, but 著 is not (and actually should not be) converted back to 着 in Big-5 to GB conversion.
