Thanks Dzhigner, it's very helpful.
But according to the licence agreement, I don't think I can redistribute this software on my site.

I know what I'm doing.
And for another thing, this software is for win95/98/NT
It goes wrong under win2k.

With JRE installed, aConcorde is cute and easy to use. It's way too simple.

Thanks for the information, Dzhigner, though NT/98 are not popular OS now. I'll try that on my XP.

I should have stressed a word "only" before "for NT/98".
Wish you luck.

Freeware corpus analysis tools go wrong from time to time. You may have trouble uninstalling them.
So it is advisalbe to install system maintenance tools, e.g. Norton System Work or Super Rabbit

Another freeware tool worth trying --- Collocation Extract
It has a neat concordancer and Collocation analysis with statistical methods is the strength of this tool, only it is way too slow.

I've tried out MONOCONC PRO today. And you know what? As concordancers go, this one is the best among the best, though per se it has not sophisticated analysis functions. Small wonder it costs $85.

Doesn't MonoConc demo have a 20 hits limit?

I like Monoconc pro 2.0+ for simply concordancing. For more complex queries and statistical analysis, I prefer WordSmith 3 and 4 and Xaira.
