Has anyone tried Trados? In addition to the very useful translation memory and terminology management, its WinAlign component is claimed to be able align all language pairs supported by Unicode.

Trados is the industry standards CAT tool and has the largest market shares to date. It has been acquired by SDLX recently, a similar CAT tool supplier. CAT tool can help to build translation memories and also helps to realise terminology consistency in translation. Its WinAlign is designed to help build translation memories on a large and quick scale, by aligning source and target translation sentences. Trados support unicode, so it supports all languages that Windows support. However, its freelance edition only allow five language pairs. But that's enough to most of translators and corpus linguists here, I believe.
