Interesting piece.

Any idea why the Chinese Romanization looks the way it is?

I guess that the author was trying to use accented IPA symbols but could not find appropriate ones for some and was using symbols. Have tried different encodings in browsing but could not resolve them.

There is a problem with the encoding of the first tone and the third of the Chinese Romanization. I don't have any idea of viewing it correctly in the browser.

The correct gloss should be:

(5) yóu rén wú bù lè ér wàng fǎn
and
(6) lìng rén zàn tàn de shān hú jǐng sè
and
jǔ mù sì wàng de shì qīng cuì de shān luán
