Call for Papers ICAME Conference 2010 Giessen, Germany

Dear colleagues,

The 31st ICAME conference will be held in Giessen, Germany, from 26th-30th May 2010.



*Academic Programme*

The programme will consist of full papers, work-in-progress reports, poster sessions, software demonstrations and a discussion panel, as well as invited plenary talks. The following speakers have already agreed to give plenaries at the conference: Stefan Th. Gries (University of California, Santa Barbara), Michaela A. Mahlberg (University of Nottingham), Miriam Meyerhoff (University of Edinburgh), Edgar W. Schneider (University of Regensburg) and Elizabeth C. Traugott (Stanford University). There will also be pre-conference workshops.



*Conference Venue*

The conference will be held at Hotel Steinsgarten, a 4-star conference centre located close to the humanities campus of Justus Liebig University, Giessen. We have also booked a limited number of additional ensuite rooms in nearby hotels. *Social Programme*

There will be a choice of excursions on Friday afternoon. On Saturday evening, we will go to Frankfurt for the gala "Riversight" boat dinner. The post-conference excursion will be to Marburg, where the delegates will have the opportunity to discover the historical old town with its picturesque castle.



*Call for Papers*

Individual papers will be allowed 30 minutes, including 10 minutes for discussion; work-in-progress reports will be 15 minutes long, including 5 minutes for discussion. Posters will be presented in the poster sessions (size A0, portrait format) and software demonstrations will be allowed 30 minutes, including 10 minutes for discussion.The deadline for abstract submission is 1st December 2009. Abstracts of a maximum of 400 words in length should be submitted online. Please refer to the conference homepage for details:

On the submission form, please indicate whether your contribution is a paper, a work-in-progress report, a poster or a software demonstration. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by 15th January 2010, together with the second circular. Deadline for registration is 1st March 2010.
