抱歉，又来问问题了。
在看语料库资料是遇到习题之一：
The verb begin can be complemented by a gerund (she began talking) and by an infinitive (she began to talk).
动词begin后面可以跟动名词和不定式。
-Check the frequencies of the two patterns in COCA's spoken section and the fiction section. Do you find a statistically significant difference?
在COCA的“口语”和“小说”部分中检索这两种形式的例频率。是否发现数据上有显著差异？
问题：
这两种形式的search string 是否如下：
动名词形式：[begin] [vvg]
不定式形式：[begin] TO

-Compare the frequencies of the two patterns for the periods 1990-1994 and 2005- 2007. Do you find a statistically significant difference?

-Compare the use of the two patterns when the verb begin is used as a preterite (began) and as a participle or gerund (beginning). Do you find a statistically significant difference?
问题：
这里的search string 是否如下：
begin 的过去式为began:
动名词形式：[begin].[VVD] [VVG]
不定式形式：[begin].[VVD] TO
begin的分词或动名词为beginning:
动名词形式：[begin].[VVG] [VVG]
不定式形式：[begin].[VVG] TO

search string "帮助“功能里面的"tagset"太少，没有相关资料，盼请高人解答。万分感谢！

我在国外念书，教授不懂中文。这也是paper里面教授讲到做卡方测验时让我们自己做的小测试，我因为没有上到课，教授现在在度假，身边也没有同学念语言文学，自己研究了半天不知道对不对，才上论坛来问问。
search string不对的话，后面的卡方测验数据正确性也无从谈起吧。
因为从来没接触过语料库分析，所以才上来问问，绝不是无故伸手要，我只是想求证search string的准确性而已。
