A new 6.7 million word Hong Kong Financial Services Corpus (HKFSC) (2006-07) is now freely available at http://langbank.engl.polyu.edu.hk/hkfsc/ on the website of the Research Centre for Professional Communication in English (RCPCE), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The HKFSC contains English texts, written and spoken, collected with the help of professional associations and private organisations from across the financial services sector in Hong Kong. Details about the contents of the HKFSC, collaborators and how to interrogate the corpus are all to be found on the website.
The HKFSC is currently accessed via a relatively simple interface, ConcGramOnline@, designed by Chris Greaves (many of you will know of his ConcApp and, more recently, ConcGram search engines). A more advanced interface is planned for the autumn.
