2 Studentships in MA in Corpus Linguistics at University of Liverpool

======================================================

The School of English at the University of Liverpool has two
studentships available that can be applied to the MA in Corpus
Linguistics in 2007/8 (http://www.liv.ac.uk/english/MA_Corpus_Linguistics.htm). The deadline
for applications is 30 July.

The programme includes practical hands-on training in WordSmith and
other corpus tools alongside theoretical discussion of issues and
developments in corpus linguistics (including the work of John
Sinclair, Lexical Priming and Pattern Grammar). Students are exposed
to the range of corpus research underway at Liverpool in the areas of
text-linguistics (including the AHRC-funded Textual Priming project),
lexis, grammar, corpus stylistics and historical corpus linguistics.

The programme is team-taught and teachers on the course include Dr.
Mike Scott, Prof. Michael Hoey and Dr Michaela Mahlberg.

The Studentship will cover fees for the MA program for students from the EU.

*** THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE STUDENTSHIP IS 30 JULY 2007 ***
