WordSmith Tools 6 (Beta) available for testing

No official release yet as Mike Scott is still adding new features, but you can get a beta copy from:

http://www.lexically.net/wordsmith/version6/index.html

Temporary registration code is in the 'readme.txt' file under the program directory.

Has some neat new features (e.g. Word Cloud) and seems to be quite stable (on my (English) Windows 7 Enterprise system).

The WS6 beta link is till not available yet.

Phrase 1: WS3-->WS4: Unicode support, Chinese, Asian languages (and many others) could be handled.
Phrase 2: WS4-->WS5: WSconcgram available, a learned/borrowed feature from Cheng, Greaves, and Warren
Phrase 3: WS5-->WS6: Word cloud, so far as I know, a technology available elsewhere for 7 to 10 years.

I was too young to be able to try my hands with Microconcord, the pre-Windows version of the WordSmith Tools.

The WS6 beta link is till not available yet.

Something wrong with your internet connection? I had no problem accessing it from Beijing. I tried both ways: with VPN secure connection and without, and it worked fine both times.

I tried my university connection, which worked.

WordSmith is organic software! Version 5.0 was started in June 2007, three years after version 4.0 and has continued this organic policy of growth ever since ... now we are at version 6 with improvements and new features.

New features:
1. Move files to sub-folders
2. Skins
3. Word Clouds

Very good, the registration code for temporary use still works.
